Xunta de Galicia will support the group Efitrans Global Logistics -dedicated to the design of innovative solutions for the logistics function and energy efficiency- with up to 2 M€ to advance in its growth and industrialization plan.
Efitrans, which participated in the first edition of the automotive accelerator Bussines Factory Auto (BFA) and was awarded numerous prizes, was chosen as one of the 20 best startups worldwide by the Stellantis Group in 2017 and was the global winner of the innovation award by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance in 2018.
The Galician company offers a new generation of trailers for trucks with the aim of optimizing costs and, at the same time, reducing CO2 emissions. Efitrans' product offering includes a multi-purpose vehicle that allows balancing car transport flows, preventing trucks from circulating empty and thus reducing costs and CO2 emissions, since it can transport both vehicles and general cargo equally, as well as a cargo vehicle that allows increasing capacity and versatility in the transport of goods, bringing an innovative technology that allows adapting to the size of the load and loading both laterally and from the rear.
The company will have financial backing through Sodiga Galicia, managed by XesGalicia. In this way, the financing is directly linked to the start of the industrialization phase of Efitrans' products in Galicia, since they were previously manufactured by international suppliers.
With this operation, the Xunta continues to show its commitment to the logistics sector, also boosted financially through lines of aid that aim to promote projects to reduce costs, delivery times and environmental impact, as well as to improve the quality of service through automation and digitization of processes, the implementation of reverse logistics or the commitment to data analytics.
